Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMANOUEL (MIKE) MITOUSIS February 4, 1948 - January 2, 2006 Surrounded by his family, Mike passed away peacefully on January 2, 2006, after a long illness. Left to remember and treasure his memory are his loving wife Dorothea; his daughter Maria; and her fiance Timothy Wray; his son Tony; and his mother Marika. Mike was predeceased by his father Antonios Mitousis. Mike was born on February 4, 1948, in Kavala, Greece, where he was raised and educated. He and his parents immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg in 1966, together with many aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he remained close over the years. It was in Winnipeg where he met Dorothea and they married in the Agia Silas chapel in Kavala, Greece, on August 10, 1975, enjoying a beautiful Grecian holiday together. In 1983, after 15 years working with MMP Architects, Mike, together with Victor Thielmann, founded Nova 3 Engineering Ltd. Mike's business was one of his great achievements and he worked tirelessly at it over the years. His work was his passion and his pride. Over the years, he gathered many friends and colleagues whom he respected and appreciated. Mike was a talented designer and was gifted in his role as the company's Principal. It was a great joy for Mike when his son Tony, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and recently joined him at Nova 3. Mike enjoyed many successes in his life, all of which were achieved for his family. He was deeply committed to his family and it is for them that he courageously continued to fight his illness. The family would very much like to thank the doctors, nurses and other caregivers who worked to help him throughout his illness, and we extend our thanks to Dr. Brian Rumbolt, our family physician. All of Mike's family and friends are invited to join us in a celebration of his life at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9 in the Laverendrye Room at the Fort Garry Hotel, 222 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0R3. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to the scholarship fund of the Greek Professional Association of Manitoba, 2255 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 0S2.
