GLEN CHARLES KENNELL June 20, 1959 - January 4, 2006 On Wednesday, January 4, 2006, Glen peacefully left our lives after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Kim; children, Amanda and Kevin; mother Phyllis; brothers, Donnie (Helen), Wayne (Aggie); sister Sandy (Craig); brothers and sisters-in-law Darryl (Brenda) and Jan (Rich); nephews and nieces; Jamey, Jennifer (Jason), Devan, Brandon, Melanie, and Remi; and numerous friends and family. Glen was predeceased by his father Charlie Kennell; and father and mother-in-law James and Elsie Komar. For over 20 years, Glen worked for Motor Coach Industries and developed many strong and lasting friendships with colleagues over the years. Glen seemed to become instant friends with almost everyone he met. His strength, courage, and endurance were only surpassed by his compassion and love for his family and friends. The family sends out their heartfelt thanks to Glen's doctors, CancerCare Manitoba, the Palliative care staff at Riverview Health Center; and especially to the numerous friends, family, and colleagues who called, emailed, and visited with Glen. Your support, jokes, and calls helped make a difference. A memorial service for Glen will be held on Monday, January 9, at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to CancerCare Manitoba or the Riverview Health Care Center. If a man can be gracious and courteous to strangers, it shows he is a citizen of the world, and that his heart is no island cut off from other lands, but a continent that joins to them.
