JOYCE HARRIET BALDWIN September 13, 1929 - January 6, 2006 Peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2006 Joyce Harriet Baldwin, aged 76, passed away at the Victoria Hospital after a long struggle with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Joyce was born September 13, 1929 in Winnipeg to Charlotte and George Baldwin (both deceased). She went to England, her parents' homeland, at a very early age. The family returned to Manitoba in the 1940s, where they resided with the grandparents in Meadows. They later moved to Winnipeg where Joyce attended school in Fort Garry. Joyce worked at Eaton's in the accounting department for 32 years as a loyal and dedicated employee. Joyce travelled back to England and Scotland over the years, visiting her family, Sonia and Alan of England, Vi and Margaret of Scotland and her good friends, Joyce and Alan and their families. Joyce has great memories of all her visits and loved talking about them. Joyce is survived by her family, Sonia and Alan, Vi and Margaret, Enid, Shirley, Elsie, Betty, Eva and Bob and their families. Joyce will be missed by her good friends, Russell and Jo-Anne Bagot and family, Winnie Truelove, Islay Giles, Nora Peckham, Sybil Dyck, Joyce and Robert King and many more. Russell and Jo-Anne, would like to thank all of her many good friends who spent hours helping to care for her over the last few weeks, making her life easier. Many thanks to the staff of Victoria Hospital, for all their loving care and support, especially Pastor Helen Manfield who visited her daily. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy.
