ANNE BILON Peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2006, Anne Bilon passed away with her family by her side, at the age of 76 years. Proud and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Nicholas of 54 years; son Brian; daughter Linda Bulka, grandsons, Paul and Zevin Bulka and their father Zenon Bulka. Left also to cherish her memory are brothers, Walter Pitura (Doris), Vernon, BC, Tony Pitura (Rolley), Vancouver, BC, Eddie Pitura (Susan), Langley, BC, Peter Pitura (Ellen), Ethelbert, MB, Emil Pitura (Mary), Ethelbert, Carl Pitura (Helene), Ethelbert; and sisters, Jean Peristy, Ethelbert and Ollie Yakimow (Ernie), Winnipeg; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary Pitura and brother Stanley Pitura. Our memories are fond and endless. Mom's labour of love was building a happy supportive and healthy home. Listening, talking and sharing her love - always setting aside time to be with her family. She was always caring and always teaching life's lessons. Her favourite place was her home, be it in the city or at the cottage and always surrounded by her family, especially by her grandsons who brought her so much pleasure and joy. She was always active and especially enjoyed being a longtime member at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church Women's League. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and attendants at both Seven Oaks Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre. She also asked us to thank all that visited and sent wishes. The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. James Johnston and Erin of CancerCare Manitoba for their endless persistence, patience and support over the past five years. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 965 Boyd Ave. with Rosary preceding at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Mikhail Kouts officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Bulka, Ernie Yakimow, Steve Bilan, George Bilan, Ken Bator and Clayton Dumas. If friends desire, a memorial contribution in Anne Bilon's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba CLL Research, Dr. J. Johnston. Forever Loved, Forever Missed and Forever Remembered.
