Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN DZIURDZ January 12, 1921 - January 7, 2006 It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved John Dziurdz on Saturday January 7, 2006 at his home. John leaves many memories to be cherished by his wife of 58 years Anne, his four children; Nadine (John), Ed (Judy), Carol (Mike), Diane (Gerry) granddaughter; Lisa (Simon) and his dog Freckles. Born in Poland John came to Canada in 1935. He attended school in Thunder Bay and worked with CNR/CPR, before joining Great Lakes Paper for a career spanning 43 years as a Locomotive Engineer / Crane Operator (missing only one day of work). John served as a gunner, with the 17th field artillery 5th division from 1944 - 1947 and took part in military actions in Belgium and Holland. FATHER Who worked so hard and saved so long For what we have today; And anytime would sacrifice, His chance to rest or play. Who always saw his children have, The things he did without; And gave so much, unselfishly For that's what love's about. Who sought no honours, no rewards, For all that he had done; Except to raise a family, The very finest one. Though we cannot evaluate Our Dad, his love, his worth. To us he'll always be Just Dad: the greatest guy on earth. Love Anne, Nadine, Ed, Carol, Diane, and Family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 11 in Cowan, MB with interment to follow. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
