PAULINE HEFFEL October 19, 1909 - January 8, 2006 Peacefully, with her loving daughter by her side, Pauline passed away at the age of 96. Pauline was the youngest born to Fred and Mary Kuxhaus on October 19, 1909. On April 2, 1932, she married the love of her life, Alexander Heffel. Together they had two children, Joan and Alvin. Pauline was predeceased by her parents, 12 siblings, husband and son. Pauline will be missed and fondly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Joan and David Gerus, grandchildren Nick Gerus (Colleen), Lisa Moodie (Morten) and Clint Gerus (Margo), six great grandchildren Brittany, Joshua, Amanda, Jack, Liam and Logan as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge and Dr. N.C. Araneda, nurse Lenore and the staff of GD5 at HSC for your TLC and compassion. Pauline will be laid to rest with her husband Alec at a private family service Wednesday, January 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society 5 Kent Rd. 982-2041. Still missing you Mom. Thanks for being the wonderful person that you were. You made such a difference in my life and I am still discovering just how much your influence had on me at this age of 79.
