MARY ANNE PESCITELLI (nee GMITEREK) It is with deep sorrow and sadness the family announces the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother on January 7, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Bartholemew and Annie; infant daughter Rosemarie; brothers, Peter, Alfred and Joe; sisters, Helen and Carrie; and great-grandchild Ryan. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Anthony; daughter Gloria (Rod) White; sons, Ken (Fran), Jim and Bert (Pam); ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Mom has also left behind her brothers and sisters, Irene, Victor, Eddie, Alice, John and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in 1923 in Cloverleaf, MB the sixth of 11 children. She was raised on the family farm, met and eventually married Tony in 1940. They spent a short time on the family farm and then moved to Winnipeg. Mom worked at a variety of jobs while raising her family. Mom cherished and cared not only for her own family but opened her heart to many others. She will be fondly remembered for her Sunday spaghetti dinners, baking, knitting and crocheting. We will always remember her for her great sense of humour and spontaneous laughter. A special thank you to the doctor, nurses and staff of the 4th floor of Concordia Place for your friendship and kindness to our mother. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Glen Eden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment and reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations may be made to Concordia Place Personal Care Home or CancerCare Manitoba.
