Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBELLA SCHOM (nee RYKISS) It is with great sorrow that Bella Schom's family announces her passing, peacefully in her sleep, January 8, 2006. Bella was born in Winnipeg on October 3, 1919, was married for 25 years and predeceased by her husband Irvin. Bella will be greatly missed by her four children Bonnie, Patti, Bernie and Nessa; their spouses Stuart, David, Lani and Frank; her grandchildren Ian, Donna, Mariah, Carley, Jesse, Jordan, Levi, Brook; her great grandchild Lauren; her brother Max Rykiss; her sister-in-laws Bessie Chisvin and Simma Etkin; her many nieces and nephews and her many, many friends. The family wants to thank the staff of the Sharon Home, where Bella resided for the past six years. We especially want to thank Rosalina Hernandez for treating our mother like she was her own. Our mother lost her vision a decade ago, but never lost sight of how much she loved us all. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hebrew Sick Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service and Celebration of Bella's life at the Sharon Home, 146 Magnus. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Belle Schom's name to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, 60 St. Clair Avenue, Suite 703, Toronto, M4T 1N5.
