ERIK JON GOODMANSON November 15, 1958 - January 8, 2006 After a valiant struggle with leukemia, Erik passed away peacefully with his family at his side. Erik leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Mary Beth, and his pride and joy, their daughter Jasmine. Also, left to mourn are his mother Muriel; brothers, Kristjan (AKA Larry and Rita), Thor (Adriana); sister Kristine (Roy); and grandfather Leo Einarson. Erik was a good uncle to Maja (Matt), Tristin, Kyla, KJ, Alea, Lauren, Kristen, Ryan, Stefanie and Natasha. His presence in their lives will be sadly missed. He was predeceased by his father Harald K. Goodmanson in 1989. Erik was born in Winnipeg and raised in East Kildonan. At the time of his death, he was living in Gimli. Erik, a Journeyman Electrician, was employed as a Project Estimator with McCaine Electric. Our heartfelt thanks go to the management and staff at McCaine for their ongoing friendship, care and concern, especially during the past year. He loved his job and the people with whom he worked. Mary Beth and the family would like to thank the many Angels who surrounded him with their compassion, friendship and support. Thanks to Drs. Bow, Bredeson, Rubinger, Matt Seftel, and the many other caring nurses and staff from GD-6 at the Health Sciences Centre. Further thanks to the Angels of the Gimli Memorial Hospital including Dr. Jacqui Montoedi, Dr. S.V. Patel, Julie, Connie and many other compassionate staff in Gimli. A special thank you to Pastor Bob and Vi Jacob and Gerry McIsaac for being there. A memorial service for Erik will be held on Thursday, January 12, at 1:00 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue, East Kildonan, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Erik's memory may be made to Cancercare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, or to a Trust Fund that has been established for Jasmine at the Gimli Credit Union, Box 1139 Gimli, MB R0C 1B0 (204-642-6450). Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unaware. Hebrews 13 NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
