JEAN HERNY (nee PANKIW) Peacefully Jean Herny passed away on January 6, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre. Jean was predeceased by her husband Walter Herny on December 31, 1984. Jean was born in Winnipeg, MB on October 24, 1920. She worked at Jack St. John Drug Store on Sargent Avenue. In her later years she was actively involved with the Senior Achievers Organization and volunteered at Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 141. You would always find Jean cooking, baking and preparing something special for family and friends. Although she didn't travel far, she always enjoyed the bus trips to the United States for shopping and gambling. Her greatest joy was her two grandchildren, Trevor and Ryan. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her son Ray; his two sons, Trevor (Melissa) and Ryan and son Jack (Alana) and cousin Elsie (Chris) Clark. The family would like to express their appreciation for all the wonderful care given to Jean during her stay at C2 of Riverview Health Centre. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Flowers gratefully declined.
