Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH KLETKE (nee SMITH) We are sad to announce the passing of Elizabeth Kletke on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the home of her daughter. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward, her parents, John and Sophie Smith, her infant son Kenneth, her sister Elsie and her brother Johnny. She is survived by her son Glenn, his wife Judith, their family Matt and Rebekah, and John. She is also survived by her daughter Carole Balodis, husband Evar and their family Sarah and Travis. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was born on October 23, 1918 in Plumas, MB. She married Edward Kletke on October 14, 1939. She was a loving and caring person who always put her family first. She enjoyed and excelled at cooking, baking and gardening. She took great pride and pleasure in her home. She was an avid football and baseball fan. She was a treasure house of family history, down to the smallest detail. We will miss her dearly and she will live on in our hearts. The family would like to thank Alda Ameida and family for the love and friendship they extended to our mother, enriching her life in more ways than can be measured. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Concordia Hospital Foundation, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8.
