MYLES WALLY HUBATKA Myles died in his father's arms following a tragic accident near his family cottage at Beresford Lake on Saturday, January 7, 2006. Myles will be deeply missed by his parents, Gwen and Walter Hubatka, his brother Spencer and his sister Reena. Also left to mourn are his grandparents, Norman and Gertrude Hubatka and Orla and Jim Gillis, uncles and aunts, Karen and Bob Bilowus, Harry and Charlene Hubatka, Rhonda and Jamie Hickes, Tannis and Bill Kotschorek, Carla and Don Holyk, Colleen Gillis, Allan and Tracey Gillis and his Great Gram Marg Gillis. Also missing Myles are his many cousins, Cindy, Kevin, Jordan, Brayden, Riley and Nathan Loeb, David and Kayla Bilowus, Stacey and Jamie Hubatka, Macey Hickes, Clay and Reid Kotschorek, Cole and Gage Holyk, Heather, Nico, Maddi Capellen, Jamie and Jersey Hickes and Travis and Cody Gillis. A wide community of extended family, friends and classmates share in his family's loss. Myles was predeceased by his grandfather Tony Toonstra. Born in Winnipeg on November 6, 1990, Myles was a special person. People of all ages looked up to and respected Myles - for his kindness, his generosity, his strength, his compassion for all those he loved. Myles was a loving and responsible brother, as well as an exceptional son. His wit and humour could always cheer up others. Myles was an avid angler, hunter, skier, snowboarder and an all-around outdoorsman. He loved portaging into lakes (especially Gem Lake) and could always be counted on to catch his limit. Myles was turning into an excellent drummer thanks to his determination and many years of lessons and even joined his friends in forming their own band. Not a day will go by that Myles is not in our thoughts, and in our hearts. Our lives were blessed with the short time we got to spend with him. We will love you forever. An open viewing / visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Delta Waterfowl Foundation, Unit 22-62 Scurfield Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1M5. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
