FILOMENA SOARES DA SILVEIRA Peacefully, on January 10, 2006, at Health Science Centre, Filomena Soares Da Silveira, aged 45 years, passed way with her family and friends at her side. Filomena was predeceased by her father Joao and eldest Joao. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband Rogerio and daughter and son, Kelly and Roger. Also left to mourn is her loving mother Alice Soares; brothers and sisters, Fatima (Honorato) in California, Carlos in Winnipeg, Fernande (Fatima) in Faial, Portugal, Angustias (Dimas) in Mentor, OH, Manuel (Conceicao) in Winnipeg, Maria Alice (Jorge) in Cambridge, ON, Luis (Armanda) in Winnipeg; nieces and nephews all over are left to remember a beautiful woman, inside and out, they were blessed to call their aunt, along with many great friends. The family would like to thank the staff Women's Hospital for the special care and kindness given to our beloved Filomena. Thank you to the nurses for their singing, smiles and kind gestures that always put our loved one at ease. The prayers will be said on Thursday, January 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 13 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros as celebrant. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. In the hour of pain and anguish, In the hour when death draws near, Suffer not our hearts to languish, Suffer not our souls to fear; And, when moral life is ended, Bid us in thine arms to rest, 'Til, by angel bands attended, We awake among the blest.
