MARGARET I. MCMILLAN Peacefully on January 11, 2006 at River East Personal Care Home, Margaret McMillan passed away at the age of 88. Margaret was born on March 15, 1917 in Woodlands, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her brothers, Alex McMillan, Alan McMillan; sisters, Louise Bowman and Grace McMillan. She is survived by her nieces, Gail Green of Vancouver, Doreen Dubois of Prince George, Marlene Pearson of British Columbia, Joan Turk of Winnipeg, Irene Jorgenson of Vancouver and Wilma Funk of East St. Paul, MB. Also one nephew Ross McMillan of Winnipeg. Margaret was a longtime Eaton's employee and left work prematurely to look after her sister Grace in their tiny Simcoe Street home. After Grace's death, Margaret moved to Arby Bay where she made many friends playing the violin in the Good Neighbour's Club Band. She was hospitalized in April of 2004 and subsequently moved to Beacon Hill Lodge and then to the River East Personal Care Home. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses, Margaret, Pat and Myrna at River East for their wonderful care of our aunt during her stay there. In compliance with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
