MARIE HILDA WOLSKI (VOTH) Marie was born April 18, 1933, in Winkler, MB, and died suddenly January 10, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Marie moved with her family to Dinorwic, ON in 1934 where she got her education. She then moved to Sioux Lookout, Ont. where she met and married her husband, Stanley Wolski. After her husband joined the Armed Forces, the family lived in Winnipeg, Kingston, C.F.B. Petawawa and Pembroke, ON, and then came back to Winnipeg. Marie worked at the Misericordia Hospital for a while then at the Post Office for 23 years. Marie's family meant the world to her. She enjoyed all handcrafts such as knitting, crocheting, making rugs and cross-stitching pictures. Sewing was another passion and she made many quilts and clothing for the family. She was a great cook and did a lot of canning. Marie loved to garden and her green thumb was very evident when you saw her house full of beautiful plants. In her younger years Marie enjoyed golfing and curling. In her later years she was a very dedicated collector of collectibles going to yard sales every weekend. Marie is survived by son John (Anna); daughter Cathy; son Rob, son Wayne (Melvina), and daughter Laura (Kim), grandchildren, Kim (Ben), Steven (Vanessa), Larry, Krista, Jim, Cara, Daniel, Christopher, Erisha, Phoenix, Jade, and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Annaliese, Noah, Joshua, and Dayton; brothers, Jake (Bunny), Henry (Carol); sisters, Anna (Gary), Liz (Allan) and brother Bill (Clara). Marie was predeceased by her husband Stan; son Ted; her parents, Bill and Nettie Voth, and sister Rose. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 5B of St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care and concern shown to their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 2:00 p.m. The funeral service has been entrusted to the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 701 Regent Ave. West, Winnipeg, MB R2C 1S3. Phone 204-224-1525.
