Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JEAN COCHLAN Margaret passed away peacefully on January 9, 2006 at the Victoria General Hospital. She was born on June 15, 1916 in Regina, SK to Christopher and Ethel Cochlan. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her sister Helen and numerous cousins. After residing in several Alberta towns she began her schooling in Taber, AB. In the spring of 1929, the family moved to Fort Frances, ON where Margaret received further schooling; then she attended Hamilton, ON Normal School. She taught in Fort Frances and area for ten years. In June of 1977, she retired in Calgary, AB following forty years of teaching, but spent her retirement years in Winnipeg. Margaret enjoyed music, reading, cooking and keeping abreast of current affairs. A memorial service will held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Cremation has taken place. She will be interred with her parents in Fort Frances, ON at a later date. A special thank you to the 5th floor staff at the Victoria General Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Margaret to a charity of one's choice. We can't have the old days back, When we were all together, But sweet treasures and Loving thoughts.
