LORRAINE GERTRUDE WARKENTIN (nee HILDEBRAND) Surrounded by her family, Lorraine went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2006. Lorraine was born on October 15, 1934 and lived on a farm near Lowe Farm, then moved to Steinbach were she attended school. She worked at the Royal Bank in Steinbach, then in Winnipeg. On January 22, 1961 Lorraine married David Warkentin and together they raised their family on a farm in the Glenlea area. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Helena and John Hildebrand and by David's parents, Abram and Helena Warkentin. Remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband David; five children and their families, Thomas and Teresa Warkentin (Caitlin, Luke), Sally and Dwayne Binns (Chelsea, Travis), Sandra and Scott Kehler (Chloe, Lexine, Dylan), Jennifer and Lyndon Baerg (Owen, Aliyah, Theo), Jeffrey and Heather Warkentin (Logan, Pearce, Ava); brothers, Hank Hildebrand (Linda), Herman Hildebrand (Sue), Peter Hildebrand (Hermena); and sisters, Janice Klassen (Abe), Judy Driedger (John), Audrey Wasio (Jim) and many nephews, nieces and friends. We remember Mom as a person of faith, with a fun sense of humour. Our mom put family above all else; she took great joy in keeping track of the events and changes in our lives. We will miss her deeply and look forward to meeting her again in heaven. Appreciation is extended to her family and friends, and the caring staff of Grace Hospital 3-South for the loving support Mom received. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glenlea Mennonite Church. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Sunday, January 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg. If desired, donations can be directed to MCC or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 339-5555
