Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNARD LEFEBVRE MARRIN On Thursday, January 12, 2006, Bernard Lefebvre Marrin, beloved husband of Dorothy Anita Marrin (Radcliffe) passed away at Grace General Hospital at the age of 87. Left to remember him with love are his sister Mildred M. F. Marrin, daughters Carol M. MacCulloch of Halifax and Elizabeth A. Belcher (Brian Belcher) of Jakarta, Indonesia and four grandchildren, Rebecca and Katherine MacCulloch, and Derek and Iain Belcher. Mr. Marrin was the son of Frederick and Mable Marrin of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by brothers Frederick A., Louis E., Jerome J. and sister Elizabeth Ann A. He was educated at St. Ignatius and St. Paul's Schools. During the Second World War, he served on convoy duty in the North Atlantic with the Royal Canadian Navy. He retired with the rank of Lt. Commander. After the war Mr. Marrin married Dorothy (1952) and with his brother Jerome founded the company of Marrin Brothers Limited for which he served as President until his retirement. Mr. Marrin was a member of St. Charles Country Club and was honoured to serve on the Board of the Club and also as Club Captain. He also enjoyed curling at the Winter Club and was a longtime member of the Manitoba Club, a charter member of the Serra Club, and served on the Board of Marymound School for over 50 years. Mr. Marrin's family would like to thank the staff of Deer Lodge and Grace General Hospital for their compassionate care. A prayer vigil will be held Sunday, January 15, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. and the funeral will be held Monday, January 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. both at St. Ignatius Church.
