Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN WARRINGTON March 28, 1906 - January 12, 2006 It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing on January 12, 2006 of our mom, grandma and great-grandma Eileen Warrington but it is also with joy that we celebrate her 100 years of life. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Bert in 1986, her mother Minnie Morris Garriott, her step-mother Mae Mitchell Garriott, her father Simeon Francis Garriott, four brothers, a sister and her great-grandson Steven. She will always be cherished in the memories of her children, Sylvia, Janice Scott and Ralph (Maizelle). Blessed with happy memories are eight granddaughters, two grandsons and their families, which include four great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters. Fondly remembered by her sister, Olive Gablehouse, her brother, Simeon Garriott and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in 1906 in Martinsburg, Indiana, she grew up in Strathmore, AB where her family settled in 1910. Mom was always proud of her American heritage. She graduated in nursing from Calgary General Hospital in 1928 and nursed until she married Bert Warrington from Russell, MB in 1930. Mom made many close friends in the cities in Western Canada where she and dad lived and will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness toward others. Our mom was a quiet, gracious lady, who had a deep and abiding faith. She lived a life of devotion and love for her husband, her family and her friends. She touched everyone she knew with her kindness and love. She will always be deeply missed. The family would like to extend our hands of appreciation to the wonderful caregivers and staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge, her home since 2000. They truly are special people. At mom's request, a private graveside service will be held and flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in her memory may be sent to Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0S8 or to a charity of your choice. I was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warrington back in May. l959. I will always remember her gentle, kindness and how welcome Mrs. Warrington and her husband made me feel. That long week-end has stayed with me all these years. If I could go back in time, I would re-live that week-end again and I would have corrected a mistake that has stayed with me always. I look forward to someday meeting again in Heaven. - Posted by: joan ( a brief acquaintance) on: Jul 21, 2018
