IRENE VIRGINIA BEYNON (nee HUMPHREYS) Peacefully and with dignity, on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at the Riverview Health Centre, Irene Beynon age 79 passed away after her battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband George in 1969, she will be lovingly remembered by her family: son Randy, wife Cathy (nee Gwynne), grandchildren, Valerie and Dale; daughter Donna, husband Gary Patterson, granddaughters, Hannah and Roslyn; her brothers, sisters many nieces and nephews and countless other relatives and friends. Irene thoroughly enjoyed her 23 year career at the Bank of Nova Scotia. After retiring in 1992, JoJo , as she was called by all those close to her, enjoyed travelling, spending time at her cottage in Gimli and lovingly caring for her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the incredible staff at the Riverview Palliative Care unit. Please know that your commitment to all those families that you touch, is so gratefully appreciated and acknowledged. The family would also like to thank all the friends and relatives for their visits and many acts of kindness, over the past few months. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow. If so desired, donations in Irene's memory can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, R3L 9Z9.
