HILDEGARD BRENNER (nee DAASE) It is with deep regret we announce the death of Hilde Brenner, beloved wife of Reinhold Brenner, on Monday, January 9, 2006, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 72 years. Remaining to cherish Hilde's memory are her husband Reinhold Brenner of 50 years of marriage; children, Gary (Sharon) Brenner, Vera-Lynne (Bruce) Benson, Kurt Brenner, Barbara (Konrad) Funk; brothers, Harry Daase, Eli (Irma) Daase; grandchildren, Erika and Kirsten Brenner, Vanessa, Jessica, Mariah and Tobias Funk; step-mother: Maria Daase; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Hilde was predeceased by her parents, Margaret (1950) and Albert (1986) Daase. Hilde was born in Boren, Poland in 1933 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1952. She worked as a nurse's aide, eventually becoming an LPN in 1976. She had a natural affinity with geriatric patients, who appreciated her gentle, caring nature. Hilde enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, her pet dogs, and entertaining family and friends. She often engaged her natural curiosity and sense of adventure with a love of reading and a thirst for knowledge. Her steadfast Christian Faith sustained her through many difficult times and had a tremendous influence on her children. Above all, she gave all she had to her family, who in turn always felt genuinely loved by her. On Saturday, January 14 at 1:30 p.m., Hilde's funeral service will be held in Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., with Pastor Ernest Goertzen officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Hilde's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
