ELDEGE (AL) GAUTHIER Peacefully with family by his side, Eldege passed away at his home on Thursday, January 12, 2006, at the age of 64 years. Eldege will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Anita (nee Lussier); his sons, Allan (Kim), David (Lisa); his four grandchildren, Kayla, Shana, Alexandria and Matthew. He also leaves his 17 brothers and sisters, Zephyr, Jeannette Rennie, Delia (Denis) Meilleur, Solange (Emile) Fontaine, Roland (Isabel), Philip (Simone), Annette (Barry) Bisaillion, Robert (Suzanne), Regis (Jacqueline), Lorraine (Denis) Saucier, Aurele, Joseph (Megan), Lea (Jeff) Parsons, Claude (Bonnie), Ronald (Adele), Claudette (Randy) Gagnon, Gisele (Edwardo) Badescu; his sister-in-law, Lonia; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Yvonne (nee Chevrefils); and brother Roger. Al was born and raised in Fisher Branch, MB and moved to Winnipeg to begin his life's work as a carpenter. His love of his work has been left in the homes of many families and friends. Next to family life, Al's second love was sports and spent countless hours on the baseball fields and hockey rinks as a player and a coach. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Dr. Jones and Kim Parodoski from CancerCare Manitoba and to the wonderful nursing care he received at home. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16 at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Mary's Rd. Viewing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17 also at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, with viewing at 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 (phone 787-4143).
