OLIVE ISABEL PETERSON Peacefully on January 12, 2006, with family by her side, Olive passed away at the Morris General Hospital at the age of 84 years. Olive was born in Melville, SK on May 13, 1921. She was predeceased by her parents Morley and Olive Worden, her brother Bruce Worden in 1990 and her grandson, Joseph Baird in 1980. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her lifelong love John of 58 years, sons Lorne (Jeannie), John (Jennifer) and daughter Laura (Darrell). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Angela, John, Virginia, Aaron, Amber and Crystal, who she adored. Four great-grandchildren who made her smile with pride, Mary, Iszabel, Davin and Ethan. She leaves behind two sisters Merle, Mary and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff at Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, who took excellent care of Mom and also the staff and doctors of Morris General Hospital who's compassion and care in Mom's last few days, was greatly appreciated. A celebration of Olive's life will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 3:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or Manitoba Cancer Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
