BONNIE GAY CHALLIS (nee ZAYAC) With great sadness, on January 13, 2006, Bonnie passed away surrounded by her family. She said her goodbyes to her husband, daughters and all her grandchildren, and, at peace with herself and the world, went to sleep. She was predeceased by both parents, Stan and Elaine Zayac and one granddaughter Leah. Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband John, daughter Belinda and son-in-law Dave Korkosh, grandchildren, Ashley and Colin, daughter Holli and son-in-law Angelo Cianflone, grandchildren, Sonny, Cole, Anthony, Amanda and Dean, siblings, Ferne (Jack), Garry (Vivian), Connie (Ron), Howie (Carol), Brandt (Jeanne), Darrell (Sharon) and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie grew up in The Pas, MB and still maintained her school day friends. After moving to Winnipeg to work, she met John and they were married in 1965. While Bonnie lived a life devoted to her family, (the grandchildren were the sunshine of her life), she and John loved to travel, square dance and go for walks and do everything together. Bonnie especially enjoyed her photograph books and crafting with and for her grandchildren. She cherished the days when they had gone camping and vacationing with their children. Bonnie and John had recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary in December after a wonderful vacation in Mexico. Everybody loved Bonnie and today there is a big hole in all our hearts. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17 in the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W., Winnipeg, MB at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Jeff Cook officiating.
