Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN GRUSHKO Born December 5, 1932. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the age of 73. Ann will be remembered with love by her children, Terry and Marty Hornstein and Saralee Grushko; her granddaughters, Ariel and Carli Hornstein; sisters and brother in-law, Zelda Bressler and Lil and Morley Slonim. She was predeceased by her husband Ben Grushko; parents, Sal and Allan Brownstone; and her brother Warren Brownstone. Ann was born and raised in Herbert, SK. She moved to Winnipeg at age 17, to attend university. At age 21, she married Ben and they spent 49 years together. She will be sorely missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who were very special to her. Active pallbearers were her best friend Marsha Schwartzman; nephews, Abe Borzykowski and Brian Gertenstein; cousins, Harvey and Bernie Frankel; and dear friend Leonard Hornstein. Honourary pallbearers were her nephew Murray Kravetsky; brother-in-law Morley Slonim; and friends, Sid Schwartzman and Morley Chess. We would like to thank Nida, Gloria, and the other home care workers for their loving care. We would also like to thank Riverview Health Centre staff for their compassionate support and excellent care.
