Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND ANDRE SAUCIER On January 15, 2006, God saw that Raymond was getting tired. When a cure was not to be, God closed His arms around our friend and whispered, Come to Me. Raymond was a model of courage and strength throughout his battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 41 years, Solange; and his two sons, Marc (Marcelle) and Richard (Kim); his dear grandchildren whom he loved so very much, Nicollette and Andre Saucier, Sasha Penner and Derek Saucier; as well as his mother Laurette Saucier; his brothers, Albert (Elaine), Denis (Lorraine) and Rene (Colette); his sisters, Marianne Hamonic and Antoinette Dumont. He also leaves his stepmother-in-law Lucille Gosselin; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Louis Gosselin (Paulette), Eveline Lecuyer (Jean-Guy), Yvonne Coulombe (Henri), Lise Courcelles (Michel), Juliette Casson (Jim), Angele Hamonic (Marc), Gilbert Gosselin (Connie), Huguette Trudel (Robert), Lucie Gosselin (Gary) and Francois Gosselin (Heidi); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ovila and Cecile Gosselin; brothers-in-law, Paul Hamonic and Laurent Dumont. Raymond was born in Hawksbury, ON, in 1941. At a young age, Raymond had to take on family responsibilities, caring for his mother and younger brothers and sisters. He overcame these challenges with determination and unselfishness. He later met the love of his life, Solange, and married on June 13, 1964. He was proud of his two sons, Marc and Richard, and was always so giving. His skills went beyond being carpenter par excellence, whether they be electrical, plumbing, painting, stiple ceilings, trucker, Mr. fix-it - Raymond was always there to lend a helping hand. His work ethic, skills and knowledge were appreciated by Rice Sportswear, Morin Transfer and the Red River School Division. For over 35 years, Raymond was a Knight of Columbus and devoted countless hours to serve his community (fund-raising events, summer festivals, bingos, parish centennial, Club Noret). His dedication extended as a member of the Board of Directors for La Caisse populaire de Saint-Malo. Raymond was a devoted husband, father and pepere. His life centred around the well-being of his family. He adored his grandchildren and would welcome them with open arms at the lake. Raymond loved and took great pride of his place in town and at the lake, and shared many good moments with Solange and all of us. His contagious smile, his wit and wonderful sense of humour, his great campfires, his love, warmth and kindness will forever be remembered The Bocage Ce-vila Camping will never be the same... we will forever cherish these memories. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m.; prayers at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church, St. Malo, MB. Father Marcel Chaput officiating, assisted by Deacon Louis Gosselin. Cremation has taken place; private family memorial will be held at a future date. If family and friends so desire, donations may be made to St. Pierre Hospital, St. Pierre, MB R0A 1V0.
