LESLIE DUDECK (nee CRESSALL) 1959 - 2006 At the age of 46, Leslie passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, on January 16, 2006 in Winnipeg, MB after a six-year battle with breast cancer. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gary and precious daughter Devann. She is also survived by her loving parents, Don and Myrna Cressall; her two brothers, Glen (Kerry) and Gary (Sabina); her grandmother, Muriel Brokke and Gary's sisters, Helen (Don), Virginia (George), Lorie (Guy) and brother Len (Carmen) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and friends. Leslie was born on April 16, 1959 in Winnipeg, the first born and only daughter of Don and Myrna. She grew up in Transcona and attended Regent Park School, John Gunn Junior High and Transcona Collegiate. From early childhood Leslie and her family spent summers at the family cottage at the Big Whiteshell Lake. It is here that she learned to swim, water ski, and explore nature with her brothers and friends. More recently, she enjoyed being at the family cottage with Gary and Devann, taking in the beautiful view, watching Devann and her cousins swim and play on the beach and spending time with family. Until her disability progressed Leslie worked for Cargill Limited and had recently celebrated her 25th year anniversary. She enjoyed working at Cargill and was blessed with the opportunity to work with so many wonderful and caring people throughout her career. Many special friendships have blossomed from this opportunity. The family wishes to thank the Oncology staff at CancerCare Manitoba (St. Boniface unit) the staff of Patient and Family Support Services and St. Boniface Palliative Care staff for their help during Leslie's illness.
