MARY TYLUK April 10, 1924 - January 14, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Misericordia Place Personal Care Home at the age of 81 years. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her sons and their families; Donald and Inga of Shorncliffe; Randy and Angie of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Candice Schreyer (Todd) of Winnipeg, Afton Tyluk and Fiancee Carmine, Kristin Tyluk of Winnipeg, Iris Stansell (Kurtis) of Arborg; great-grandson Zenan; sister Margaret of Minneapolis and her three children. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1986; her parents, Anna in 1968 and Anton in 1971. Mary was born in Shorncliffe in 1924. She grew up on the farm and later left to work as a cook at Casey's Inn in Lac du Bonnet. Mom was a great cook and an awesome baker. She later met and married Bill Tyluk in 1945 and settled on the farm in Shorncliffe. As well as farming she did part time accounting for the local Co-op General Store. At the early age of 40, she developed rheumatoid arthritis and life became a challenge for Mary. In spite of this disease she continued to cook, sew and crafted many needlepoint pictures. Many friends, neighbours and even strangers possess some of Mary's work. In compliance with Mom's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Mary's life will be held on Sunday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Arborg and District Recreation Centre, 437 Recreation Centre, Arborg, MB. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers and friends on Cornish 5 at the Misericordia Hospital and the wonderful staff at the Misericordia Place Personal Care Home. Thank you everyone. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba Inc., 105 - 386 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4S4. Mary's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
