Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BURTON AISMAN Peacefully at Selkirk and District General Hospital on January 15, 2006 our dear brother, uncle, and friend John passed away. John was born June 9, 1931 in the family home where he spent his entire life. John left school in 1947 to work at Selkirk Bakery. After five years he went to the Steel foundry (Amsco) in 1952 until he retired in 1992. His next career was chauffeur to Janine, Trevor and Wesley. He also enjoyed the many hours he spent at the farm with his best friend Alvin. His garden was his pride and joy. There was never a weed to be found in John's garden, flowers on one side of the yard and vegetables on the other. He was always quick to give bouquets to friends, relatives, and anyone that would stop to admire his flowers. His yard was always the first in the neighbourhood to have the grass cut or the snow blown. John was predeceased by his parents, John (1943), Lydia (1969); brothers, Richard (1972), and James (1985), and sister-in-law Joy (2003). He will be greatly missed and forever cherished by sisters, Doreen (Archie) Kirkness, Phyllis (Ron) McMurchy; sister-in-law Pat Aisman and friends, Judith and Don Jaworski and family. Uncle John will also by missed by three generations of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME. 18 Main St., Selkirk, MB. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Ron, Tom, and Owen McMurchy, Donald Kirkness, Bill Aisman, friends Trevor and Wesley Jaworski and Roger Goodman. All those who knew John should consider themselves honorary pallbearers. We would like to thank the angels of Selkirk Ambulance and S.D.G.H., for the care and compassion they have shown John over the last few months, your kindness is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Selkirk and District General Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 18 Main St., Selkirk, MB 785-1575
