RON FRANZ April 2, 1949 - January 16, 2006 With dignity, and his wife Ruth by his side, on Monday, January 16, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre, Ronald Franz of Winnipeg. Besides his wife Ruth, Ron is survived by four children, Amanda, Ryan of Winnipeg, Barb, Ron of Sayward, BC; seven grandchildren and one on the way. By Ron's expressed wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Donations in Ron's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9 or Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, R3L 2P4. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 3 East Wing of Riverview Health Centre for the compassion and care given to Ron. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, Our hearts were almost broken, As you fought so hard to stay; But when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free of pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. So when we're sad and lonely, And everything goes wrong, We know we'll hear a whisper, Cheer up and carry on.
