IRIS CORINNE WOOD (nee ROGERS) February 26, 1922 - January 17, 2006 Peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, Iris passed away at Poseidon Personal Care. She was predeceased by her husband Rodney James; son Wayne Rodney; brothers, Albert, Alvin, Harold, Reggie, Clifford; and sister Margaret. She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Sharon (Bill); sister Marjorie; brother-in-law Dennis (Eve); sister-in-law Florence; grandchildren, Barrett (Kristyn), Desiree, Dylan and numerous nephews and nieces. Iris was a life long resident of Transcona. Prior to Rodney's passing they enjoyed many years of square dancing, round dancing, curling and many summers of golf as long time members of Pine Ridge Golf Club. The pallbearers will be Barrett and Kristyn Paulsen, Desiree Paulsen and Chad Pierson and Dylan Wood. We would like to thank the 5th floor staff of Poseidon Personal Care for their compassionate support and care. In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery.
