ANNE CASSIDY Suddenly on January 7, 2006, Anne Cassidy passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 89. Anne was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, William Cassidy and her two daughters, Audrey Thiessen and Valery Cassidy. Anne is survived by her daughter and granddaughter, Olive and Lynn Leclair; her son Al Cassidy (wife Sandi), along with grandson Donald and great-grandson Christopher; daughter Correen Schifke (husband Norbert) with grandchildren, Karl Schifke, Cheryl Paulic (husband Dennis) and great-grandchildren, Noah, Joshua and Leah, also grandson Rod Thiessen. Anne is also survived by many close friends and relatives who have been a great support over the years. Special thanks to Jean Rankin, Ed and Maureen Miller and Eve and Al Cassidy. Anne and Bill resided at the Lions Manor for many happy years. Thank you very much to all the very special staff for all your care and kindness. Anne also spent many happy years playing bingo at the Imperial Veterans Legion while Bill was busy playing cards. Many good friends were made during this time and were never forgotten. Cremation has taken place and at Anne's request there will be a small private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or any charity of choice.
