WILLIAM RONALD PFEIFER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Ronald Pfeifer, who lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 76 years. William leaves to mourn, his children Leslie and Ron (Shelley); brothers, Arthur and George; sister Gertrude; and grandchildren, Terry, Billy, Melissa and Meagan; as well as special long time companion Audrey Moreau. He was predeceased by his wife Louise Helen Pfeifer; his parents Anton and Mary Pfeifer; one brother Rudy Pfeifer and one sister Rose Mintenko. Dad was born on April 6, 1929 in Ladywood, MB to Anton and Mary Pfeifer. At an early age dad took an active part in the operation of the family farm. After he left the farm and came to the city, he tried his hand at many jobs, finally settling in at C.P. Express and Transport in 1962. He worked there until 1989 when he retired after many years of dedicated service, earning the respect and friendship of his co-workers. Dad dedicated his life to the care and service of his family and friends, willing to drop anything he was doing to come to their aid. Grandpa's favourite thing was to spend time out at his trailer, surrounded by family and friends. He also loved to cook, go dancing with Audrey, play cards with friends and live his life to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make a donation in William's memory to Cancercare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. ALWAYS LOVED NEVER FORGOTTEN GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
