CLARA JULIA ARDAGH On January 11, 2006, Mom passed away at the Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC, at the age of 91 years. Clara was predeceased by her husband John Patrick (Pat) in 1992. She is lovingly survived by her daughter Carol and husband John (Hiscock) of Winnipeg, and grand daughter Heather of Kitchener, Ontario; and son Doug, wife Meryle, and grandson Michael, of White Rock. Also survived by special nieces Valerie Lewis, Elaine Palmer, Bernice Reilly, Patricia Jackson, and Marlene Bliss. Clara was born Clara Biss in Beausejour, Manitoba, on April 29, 1914, the youngest of a large family. She was raised in Winnipeg, and was employed in a number of clerical positions over the years. She met and married her husband Pat, and spent the war years in the East Coast, where Pat was stationed with the RCAF. After the war, they returned to Winnipeg where they raised their family. Pat and Clare moved to White Rock at the age of 75. Following Pat's death, she remained living independently. Clara developed life long friendships with many, and lovingly corresponded with them over the years. She also enjoyed a special relationship with each of her nieces. Clara lived her life with quiet dignity, and was fortunate to have had a sound mind and body until the end. She will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place, and a private funeral service will take place at her request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
