Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCILLE RITCHOT On Saturday, January 14, 2006, in the arms of her beloved husband and surrounded by her loved ones, after a painful bout with cancer, our courageous angel completed her journey to heaven. Lucille was born in Winnipeg on March 2, 1951 and raised in Richer. Lucille always liked to recount the fact that she was blessed to be a part of two families. She leaves to mourn her passing: her soul mate, Art Ritchot; her birth mother, Emilie Claeys; her two daughters, Suzanne (Tim Werner) and Denise Girouard; her stepdaughters, Teresa (Terry) McKimm, Charlene (Doug) Jongsma; her grandchildren, Hunter, Nicholas, Jeremy A., Derek, Kyle, Jeremy J. Aaron and Breanna; her brothers and sisters, Louis (Edmonde) Trudeau, Leo (Annette) Trudeau, Gene (Sharon) Trudeau, Jeannette Lebleu (friend Bert Honke); Rachel (Andre) Therrien, Raymond (Simone) Claeys, Rita (Gordon) Linklater, Richard (Christine) Claeys, Rena (Gerald) Bonneteau; ma tante Terry, numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces; Art's little adopted bro, Larry Comeau, and her best friends, Leona Nolin and Carol Tuck. Lucille was predeceased by her parents, Regina and Paul Trudeau; by her stepfather Paul Claeys, and by her sister Rose Gagnon. Lucille was the heart of her families; a most caring, considerate and beautiful person. She was the bond that kept everyone together. Lucille delighted in spending time with her family and friends. Her unselfishness was obvious to all who knew her. Others always came before her. She was an excellent cook and hostess and loved spending time at Lac Du Bonnet where she made many lifelong friends, especially her golfing partners, Helene Labelle and Edith McDougall. She excelled at bowling, cribbage, and horseshoes or anything she attempted. She loved crossword puzzles and never gave up until it was finished. Her amazing intellect helped her overcome all obstacles. Lucille was a phenomenal woman. All those who met her and knew her philosophy would agree. The family would also like to thank all the friends and relatives, in particular, Annette and Jeanette for their visits and many acts of kindness over the last month. We will miss her deeply and look forward to meeting her again in heaven. The family would like to extend special thanks to the incredible nurses, aides, doctors and Fr. Roland Lanoie at St. Boniface palliative care unit 8a. Your commitment has touched many. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m., at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. Cremation has taken place and interment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or St. Boniface palliative care unit. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
