RALPH GALBRAITH (BUSTER) MINAKER June 18, 1920 - January 18, 2006 Peacefully on January 18, 2006 at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall, Ralph Minaker at the age of 85 years, son of Bert and Mabel Minaker of Rosser. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, two brothers Charles and Walter and three sisters Vera, Lucille and Augusta. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marguerite (Quickfall); son Gary; sister-in-law Jean Minaker and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was born on the family farm in Rosser and lived there all his life, until moving to Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall. He was a proud farmer, interested in the grain he grew and also worked over the years as a school bus driver and at Sears, Garden City in the automotive department. Ralph was the last surviving member of his generation of Minakers. He was a member of the Rosser United Church and enjoyed curling and the horse races at the Assiniboine Downs. He very much enjoyed family gatherings and appreciated visits from his neighbours. Many thanks to the staff of Rosewood Lodge for their kindness and care and also to Dr. G. Pinniger and staff of Stonewall Hospital. Thank-you to Rev. Leslie Clark for her many visits to Ralph at home and at Rosewood. The eulogy will be given by Alan Beachell. Honorary pallbearers are: Arne Anderson, Dennis Mulligan, Bonne Lemon, Henry Holtman, Ron Hudson, Jack Munro, Fred Corbett and Alan Beachell. Active pallbearers are: Mark Anderson, Shane Elliott, Glenn Worth, George Minaker, Wayne Minaker, and Darren Minaker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's memory to Rosser United Church or Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall. Rev. Leslie Clark will officiate on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
