ELSE REICHERT Peacefully on January 17, 2006 surrounded by her family, Else passed away at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Adam in 1982, Else will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters, Elli Kitzmann (Siege) and Reni Koesters (Franz); grandchildren, Christina, Lisa, Sandy and Michael; and great-grandsons, Matthew and Mitchell. She is also survived by her brother Jacob Kube (Wanda) and her sister Martha Herbstreit (Alfred) of British Columbia, as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws in both British Columbia and Germany. Born in Poland in 1920, Else, Adam and daughter Elli came to Canada from Germany in 1951, with daughter Reni born soon thereafter. She worked as a seamstress for many years before retiring; her handmade duvets and leather gloves will be forever treasured by her family. She loved spending time in her garden, growing enough tomatoes and cucumbers to feed the whole family. Her faith was a very important part of her life and she was a longtime member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St., with interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
