FRANK CARL MALAZDREWICH August 25, 1932 - January 22, 2006 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Frank, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Frank passed away peacefully at H.S.C. with his family by his side after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Agnes and Emily; and brothers, Walter, Albert, and Anthony. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife for 45 years, Gayle; daughter Sherry (Wes) Groen - Alex, Kristen and Melanie; son Carl (Bren-Lee) and Cole; and son Robert. He will be sadly missed by brothers, John (Josephine); Ed (Muriel); sister Stella Grudeski; sisters-in-law Anne and Francis; as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank was born, raised and educated in Glenella, MB. He enjoyed a 39 year career with CN Rail. He began his career as a telegrapher in 1951 working in various places in MB, SK, and ON. After Frank and Gayle's marriage in 1960, they lived in Morris, MB and then Yorkton, SK, where their children were born. In 1970, he moved to Winnipeg where he remained until he retired from the position of Manager Customer Service in 1990. Frank was an active member of the Knights of Columbus as grand knight of the Yorkton Council 2031. After his retirement, Frank and Gayle moved to Brandtwood Estates where Frank volunteered 15 years of service on the Board of Directors as Vice-President and President of the Condo Corp. Thank you to Dr. Tan, all the staff in the S.I.C.U. and GH-6 for their care and support. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Timothy's Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd., Winnipeg, MB with Fr. Ray Baudry and Fr. John Malazdrewich presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
