ADAM CZARNY It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Adam's sudden death on Friday, January 20, 2006, at his residence in St. Andrews, MB. Adam suffered from type two diabetes as well as a heart condition. Adam was born in Poland and came to Canada after the Second World War, as a young boy with his father Izydor, mother Maria and younger siblings Anthony and Mary. He loved to sing as a choir boy at Holy Ghost Church in Winnipeg. As a young man he enjoyed the sport of amateur boxing. He attended Tech Voc High School where he enjoyed his studies and where he loved to participate in drama. After graduating he became a licensed journeyman electrician. He was a valued employee at Eatons in Winnipeg for many years. He then worked as a private contractor before moving to St. Andrews and working at Betel Home Foundation in Selkirk for many years until retirement. Adam really enjoyed the great outdoors and was well known as an expert hunter and fisherman. He was predeceased by his second wife, Barb and is survived by his devoted and loving daughter Diane (Dee) Jobes and son-in-law David Jobes, sons, Paul and Ted Czarny; his sister Mary and her sons, Chris and Anthony Carriere; nephews, Michael and Keith Czarny; niece Janice Beer; and many family and friends who were lovingly touched by his love for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Till we meet Again We do not know why God took you so suddenly; This question we'll never understand. In our sorrow and in our grief: We hold on to the promise in our hearts; That we shall see you again one day in the place called heaven; Where all our tears will forever be wiped away. By Mrs. David Jobes (Dee) A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Clements Cemetery, Selkirk.
