IDA BESSIE IVERSON Peacefully, on January 23, 2006, at her home at Poseidon Centre, Ida passed away at the age of 85. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon in 2004. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her children, Maureen, Donald (Lynne), Judith (Ronald), Barbara (Michael) and Karen; also by her grandchildren, David, Michelle, Kimberley, Amelia, Tara, Heather, Andrea, Gregory and Karla; and five great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sisters, Marjorie and Joyce and their families. Mom will be remembered for her love of her family, her infectious smile, her handicrafts and her caring attitude for people that surrounded her. She loved to spend time at her cottage in Gimli, enjoying her lakefront view. It was there that she was truly at peace. One of her great joys in later life was spending time with or talking to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Poseidon Centre for their kind, loving and compassionate care given to Mom. A celebration of Ida's life will take place at the Poseidon Care Centre, 70 Poseidon Bay on Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. Her ashes will be returned to her favourite spot, Gimli, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the End of Life at 70 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, MB R3M 3E5.
