A. IRENE (PAT) DOUGLAS 1911 - 2006 After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, Irene (Pat) Douglas passed away on Monday, January 23, 2006 at River East Personal Care Home. Pat was predeceased by her mother and father in Ireland. After her sister died, she came to Canada at the age of 15. Her lifelong friend Ruth Thomson passed away in 1985. She will be lovingly remembered by her close friends, Mary Allan and Helen and Jack Thomson and several cousins. Pat worked in Eaton's for 44 years, retiring in 1972. She spent three years in the Air Force during the Second World War. She had a long and happy life and was a loyal and true friend to many. Pat loved her time at her cottage at Victoria Beach, spending many holidays there. Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside family service will be held at a later date. We would like to express our appreciation to the staff at River East Personal Care Home where Pat spent the last nine years of her life.
