Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR BARSKI Peacefully, with his family at his side, Victor Barski passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 90 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anne; daughters, Audrey (Guy) Hogue and Donna (Milton) Wiebe; grandchildren, Randy (Jill) Steffes, Trevor (Elaine) Steffes, Tyler Hogue, Lance Hemminger, Keith Hemminger and Tracy Hemminger (Dan Blahut); great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Keira, Michael and his namesake Christopher Victor. He is also survived by sisters Helen Martin, Beatrice Reich, Josie Halayko and brother Charles Barski. He was predeceased by his parents Klemens and Teodozja, sister Kay, step-brothers John, Joe, Anton and step-sisters Carrie and Mary. Victor was born on December 20, 1915 into a family who had pioneered in Ladywood having received a grant of land under The Homestead Act in the 1890's. He followed in the family tradition and spent his life farming. In 1987 he moved to Beausejour where he lived the rest of his life. He loved music and dancing. In his retirement he spent many happy hours playing cards at the Beausejour Seniors Club. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was greatly loved in return by all of them. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2006 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour with Fr. Brabant officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery. We, his family, would like to thank dad's homecare providers, Dr. Corder and the staff of the Beausejour General Hospital for their many kindnesses and care. We would also like to thank dad's nephew, Ed Peluk and his sons Ron and Allen for their help in tending dad's land for many years.
