CECIL EDWARD GILCHRIST Peacefully, on Sunday, January 22, 2006, Ed passed away at the age of 89 years. Cecil was predeceased by his daughter Kathleen Johnson in 1994. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Lucy; their children: Wayne (Anne), Robert (Rochelle), Janice (Norm), son-in-law David Johnson; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; his sisters: Sarah Gilchrist, Barb Gilchrist, Ruby Kushmall and their families. He was raised on the family farm in Ridgeville, MB, served overseas with the RCD's, and was employed with the City of Winnipeg for over 30 years. He also enjoyed 24 years of retirement. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, (South of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place at Ridgeville Cemetery, Ridgeville, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ed to the Deer Lodge Centre.
