CARMEN STOESZ (nee COUTURE) Carmen, mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend passed away all too soon at the age of 37, having bravely fought against that dreadful disease called cancer . While her body was being ravaged, she dreamed and prayed and strived to live, yet sadly succumbed on January 22, 2006. Carmen was incredibly special to the many people who knew and loved her. In return, she loved them just as deeply and none more so than her two cherished daughters Kyla and Jaylene, who will miss their mother forever and her husband Steve, who must now raise these two precious angels, guided by Carmen's undauntable spirit. Surviving a daughter becomes the immeasurable anguish of mother, Gilberte Couture (nee Carignan) and mourning their beloved youngest sister is the heartache of siblings Paulette (Roman), Gisele Strong (Dean), Monique, and Jean-Claude (Blanche). Losing their aunt brings sorrow to Lindsay Strong, Kelsey Toye, Chad and Craig Couture. Carmen now joins her father Claude, with whom she shared a special love. Throughout her all too brief life she touched so many people, including those she worked with at Great West Life, Investors Group, ISM, and COVA Hair Wear. Just prior to learning of her illness, Carmen had started working as Franco Magnifico's assistant with the City of Winnipeg. Carmen was truly appreciative of the many family members, friends and professionals with the Palliative Care Program who supported her during her illness, providing both help and hope from the time she was diagnosed until those last moments that led her to a merciful peace in the loving care of the Riverview Health Centre. A private burial will take place for the family. All are welcome to join the family and friends on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Promenade Ballroom at the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion St. We invite you to share with us your stories, memories and special occasions that were woven into the fabric of Carmen's beautiful life. As an expression of love and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary's Ave., Winnipeg, MB. R3C 3J2, would be appreciated.
