PETER CHUDY Peacefully on January 23, 2006, after a lengthy illness Peter passed away at the Bethania Personal Care Home with his family by his bedside. Peter was 78. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Irene and their children, Gary (Evelyn), Janice (Brian), Vernon, Glenn and Kevin (Jennifer); grandchildren, Lisa, Richard, Jessica, Tea and Karisse. Peter was predeceased by his daughter Eileen (1954); son Dennis (1992); parents, Anna (1959), Stephan (1961); sisters, Nellie (1955), Mary (1988) and Tillie; (2002); brother Michael (2000). Peter was born in Fisher Branch, MB in 1927. He was raised in Chatfield, MB where he resided on the family farm until he met Irene on February 14, 1954 and subsequently married on July 24, 1954. Together they raised their family in Winnipeg where Peter resided until his demise. Peter was a fiddle player and enjoyed playing old time polkas and waltz. Funeral service will be held at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, on Friday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A reception in the Glen Eden Reception Centre will follow the interment. Pallbearers will be his grandson Richard, son Vernon, nephews, Rudy Stenzel, Jerry Banera, Stephen Chudy, Steven Chudy and son-in-law Brian Coss. Special thanks to the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home for keeping Peter comfortable. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
