MONICA A. HOLMES On Sunday morning, January 22, 2006, Monica Holmes of Winnipeg passed away peacefully at the age of 61 years after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Monica is survived by her husband Dennis of forty two years and their three children Timothy and his four children Ashley, Alyssa, Jeremy and Amy; daughter Shauna (Kelly) Copan from Kelowna and their children Spencer and Quinn; Kelly and fiance Lianne Ritchot of Winnipeg. Also, by her adopted mother from Winnipeg, Lucielle (Peachy) Burke; two brothers, Ralph (Pat) Foster, Vaughn (Jennifer) Foster and their families. Also her sister-in-law Linda; and three brothers-in-law, Truman, Wayne and Ron Holmes. Monica, you will be sadly missed by all of us and everyone who ever knew you, as you were the absolute best! God bless you, we all loved you and our prayers will always be with you. A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface and Health Sciences Centre for the care and consideration Monica received. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations in Monica's memory may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
