GEORGIA JOYCE KOLBECK (WONG) Peacefully on January 23, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital, Georgia Kolbeck passed away at the age of 58 years. Georgia's memory will be cherished by her son Kelly Wong; also mourning her passing are her sister Joanne Deslauriers with sons, Kyle and Shane; brother Michael Baldwin with son Teegan and daughter Kiara as well as Kelly's father Bing Wong. She will be lovingly remembered by special friends, Margaret and Gersh Sucharov, Veronica Caplette and Simone McCrae. She was predeceased by her father Ernest Emil Kolbeck in 1983 and her mother Olga Baldwin in 1992. Georgia was born in Winnipeg on November 18, 1947 and grew up in the North End and Elmwood, attending Elmwood High. She loved rock and roll. Everyone who met her soon got to know her and appreciate her sense of humour. She was a kind, trusted, loyal and loving friend. You always knew she was in your corner. Georgia was a longtime member of the Winnipeg Women's Group. During her first 15 years she helped many others by caring and sharing. Although not active in recent years, she still used the program it gave her. The family would like to thank the entire staff of 5B Wing at St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care, their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 12:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Donations may be made in Georgia's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, 774-7483 or to a charity or fellowship of your choice.
