MYRNA WEISHAUPT (nee PRYOR) Peacefully on January 22, 2006, Myrna passed away at her home in Winnipeg at the age of 69. She will always be remembered by her husband Joe; children, Rick (Jerri) of Anthony, Kansas, Carla Dayholos (Don) of St. Adolphe, Randy (Susan) of Crystal City and Doug (Darseen) of Portage La Prairie; her siblings, Don Bay of Australia, Joan (Ray) Ganske of Cartwright, Lynn (Walt) Woroz of Winnipeg and Fern Bailes of Winnipeg; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Janea, Jameson, Justin, Kayla, Morgan, Avery, Kiera, Teaghan, Rayla, and Taylor. Nieces and nephews, Chris, Carolyn, Craig, Catherine, Heather, Rob, Chris and Koren; as well as special friends, Moira, Kourtney and Aidan and good friend Elsie. Myrna was predeceased by her parents, Chris and Kathleen Bay; and husband Gordon Pryor. Mom grew up and lived most of her life in the Kelwood and Birnie area where she was involved in many aspects of the community including CGIT, UCW and 4-H. She was an avid gardener which was reflected in the dozens of flowers planted around our house each year. Myrna, with the help of her children, planted a huge vegetable garden each year and with frequent weedings and plenty of water enough vegetables were harvested to feed her family for an entire winter. Myrna was an excellent seamstress and with her sewing machine she made many an outfit for herself and her children. She also helped out with the production of vests and shirts, all color co-ordinated for the 4-H club. Upon moving to Winnipeg, Myrna took up the job of caretaking apartment blocks which was a good fit for her since she loved to be surrounded by people. Again her love for gardening was evident in the dozens of flowers that she planted in the beds around the block. Her passion was finding unique plants to add to the arrangements and she knew every green house and garden center in Winnipeg. She enjoyed her herb garden and especially her bed of lilies, many of which came from Neepawa's Lily Nook. Cremation has taken place. Close friends are invited to join the family in a private service at Portage Alliance Church, 2375 Saskatchewan Avenue West, Portage La Prairie, Saturday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Kelwood Cemetary. Ronald Moffat Memorial Services - Portage La Prairie in care of arrangements. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Lily Nook, Box 846, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0 or to the Mood Disorder Association of Manitoba. My soul has wings and I have left my burdens behind. I am at peace.
