JEAN-PAUL LE GAL Jean-Paul, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 63. Jean-Paul will be missed by his three children, Roland (Nicole), Michelle Hebert (Yoland), Ginette (fiance Jason) and by his four grandchildren, Celeste, Jonah, Christian and Benoit. He is survived by his former wife of 32 years Eveline Le Gal (nee Desmarais). He leaves to mourn his siblings, Yvette Poirier (Edgar), Denis (Berthe), Anita Caldwell (Wesley), Lorraine Gauvreau (Louis), Diane Trudeau (Emile), Monique Paulhus (Raymond), Guy (Gisele). He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Jean-Paul was predeceased by his mother Lodia (nee Laporte) (2000), his father Joachim (1984), his brother Roland (1955), and his sister Therese Gendreau (1996). Jean-Paul was born March 29, 1942 in Richer, MB. Jean-Paul attended Red River College and successfully completed the Welder's Program in 1962. He completed additional courses in Pressure Welding in Edmonton, AB. He was a member of The United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 254 in Winnipeg for over 30 years. He enjoyed working as a welder on the Trans-Canada Pipeline. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. The children would like to thank all family and friends for the abundant visits, cards and prayers. The family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated staff for the excellent care of Jean-Paul on 7A West and Palliative Care Program 8th Floor at St. Boniface General Hospital. Prayers will be held on Friday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. with viewing at 7:00 p.m. at Notre Dame de Lorette Parish, Lorette, MB. Funeral Mass of the Christian Burial on Saturday, January 28 at 10:30 a.m. with viewing at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lorette Parish. Reception to follow at Lorette Parish Hall at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road.
