MARY JAMAN (nee: BILAWCHUK) December 31, 1937 - January 26, 2006 It is with deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Mary Jaman, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 68 years. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Peter; daughters, Melody (Wayne) Bodnarchuk and Connie (Les) Yasinsky and by her two grandchildren, Brett and Braeden; mother Helen Bilawchuk; sisters, Elsie (Jarvis) Korchak, Joyce (Tony) Drewniak; brothers, John (Leona) Bilawchuk and Wilmer (Lynn) Bilawchuk. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends will cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Bilawchuk. Throughout her years of illness, Mom never lost her incredible sense of humour and indominable spirit. Mary was a devoted wife and mother who delighted in spending time with her two precious grandchildren. She instilled a sense of wonder into special times, creating unforgettable memories. She looked forward to family breakfasts every Sunday. Mary worked for the Hadassah-Wizo Council of Winnipeg for 19 years. In honour of her dedicated service she was given special recognition by having her name placed on a plague at the J.F.K. Library in Israel. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, the nurses and doctors at H.S.C., Homecare Services and Dr. Polimeni. Melody and Connie would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Bonnie and Walter for their compassion and deeply appreciated support throughout. Prayers will be offered on Sunday, January 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Rd. Funeral service will take place on Monday, January 30 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day St. (Transcona). Rev. Archpriest Fr. W. Wasyliw will preside. Pallbearers will be Brian Bilawchuk, Jason Bilawchuk, Warren Bilawchuk, Darryl Drewniak, Derek Fjeldsted and Chris Merrithew. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
